Ok, for the ring story. My husband has been telling me "Don't wear your wedding ring, it is too big for you." But, I hate, hate, hate, not wearing my wedding ring. I love my wedding ring and all it stands for. So fast forward to today. So, I go to lunch with my brother today. We ordered our food and went to sit down, I happened to look down at my hand and...................GONE. My wedding ring was GONE! I freaked out. Went C to the R to the A to the Z to the Y! C-R-A-Z-Y. I started crying hysterical. I had the whole restaurant looking for my ring. I went and looked in my truck like 4 times, searched my purse. Was about to throw up and then I thought where could it have gone to. My mind was racing. My brother said calm down and breathe. I started taking everything out of my purse, I mean everything. I was ready to cut the liner out of my purse. And then, behold......AHHHH, there it was, in the bottom of my purse. It must have slipped off when I reached in to get something out of my purse. It had found a nice warm comfy spot to play hide and seek, reek havoc on my nerves, make my heart beat way too fast to count, make my stomach to back flips, cartwheels, and any other strange sort of gymnastic/acrobatic adventure. Needless to say, my ring is going in the safe tonight when I get home. I refuse to size my ring until I am at goal. So, I guess, I will have to purchase a cheapy fake ring until that time comes. Maybe I can find something in the realm of a 12 carat , like Khloe Kardashian. Hey, a girl can dream right???

Tamara - I can TOTALLY relate! If you look at my old posts, you'll see I took my engagement ring off a few months ago and now my band is off and safe... I started at a size 9 ring... I'm at a 6.5 size now! Crazy! I've been successful at buying two "imposters" at Kohl's and TJMaxx to hold me over, because I refuse to have mine resized either until I know I'm where I'm going to be for a while. Glad you didn't lose it! Time to shop the clearance racks!!!!
Ahhh! My heart was totally racing the entire time you were telling that story! My wedding ring is getting way to big too and I've got it getting super close to slipping over my knuckle. I think this may be the little push I need to go out and get my lovely stand in ring until I get to goal and have mine resized!

I took my ring to discuss resizing and was told that they can only go down 2.5 sizes from my original size. That is about 1/2 a size smaller than I am right now. When I get there I am going to resize them whether I am at goal or not. Hopefully my goal finger-size and sized 5.5 will be close to the same.
I would take your ring in now and see what they say. If you are already at the smallest size they can do. I would go for it now.
OMG! I feel your pain. My husband once took my ring (I had taken it off to do some big time cleaning) to have it cleaned at a jeweler. I flipped out when I couldn't find it. He got an earful from me. But great for you that it's too big! You'll be at goal in no time and can have that thing resized.
I'm so glad you found it. I know we're not supposed to place a lot of value on material possessions but there are some possessions that we value tremendously anyway.
I can totally relate also. I just bought ring guards for my wedding and engagement rings yesterday. I dont want to get them sized until I reach goal but I could not bear not wearing them. They were only $10 each, well worth the money. You can get them at any jewlery store
I am in the same boat, have to make a decision about the rings soon - take them off until goal or have them resized now? It is an NSV! So glad you found yours!!!!
I wear mine on my middle finger. That might work for awhile. I don't like not wearing my rings either! :)
